Course Description

Energy conservation measures in various Process Units (Primary as well as Secondary & Treating Units) viz., Crude Distillation Unit, Hydrocracker Unit, Fluidised Catalytic Cracker Unit, Delayed Coking Unit, Continuous Catalytic Cracking Unit, Diesel Hydro-treating Unit, Captive Power Plant etc. These energy conservation measures can be taken in the existing Units as well as can be considered while putting up a grass root Refinery to optimize fuel consumption and processing loss.

There are a no. of energy conservation techniques / practices which can be adopted during operating the processing units with minimum energy requirement.
